The 90-Minute Time-Tested Mastermind
Most training overloads you with ideas and sends you home dizzy—“drinking from a fire hose”—with zero built-in time to execute. People leave seminars fired up and then change… nothing.
I built the 90-Minute Time Tested Mastermind Workshop to fix that. It’s fast, focused, and—most importantly—productive. You don’t just learn. You ship (translation for my Boomer friends: you finish it and put it to work today).
In plain terms, “ship” means you stop polishing and put the finished piece to work—live, in your business—before you leave the room.
The Format (and why it works)
- 1) Welcome & Focus (5 minutes) — We set one clear target you’ll improve today—a script, system, or process tied to revenue or delivery.
- 2) Time-Tested Principles + Guided Mastermind (20 minutes, leader-facilitated) — Brief, practical instruction with active group participation. The facilitator leads examples, quick shares, and live problem-solving so everyone refines their approach before execution. Momentum first, then action.
- 3) Deep Work Block #1 (25 minutes, silent) — Cameras on, mics off, heads down. You implement on your own business—no distractions, no procrastination.
- 4) Share & Calibrate (10 minutes) — Questions, breakthroughs, and friction points. We adjust quickly using the room’s brainpower.
- 5) Deep Work Block #2 (25 minutes, silent) — Iterate and finish. You level up what you built in Block #1.
- 6) Showcase, Commit & Close (5 minutes) — Each participant briefly shows their success and work product (doc, script, email flow, deck, template—digital or printed). Then everyone states a concrete implementation commitment—what goes live, when, and how it’ll be measured. Clear next steps, public accountability.
Total: 90 minutes.
Why this beats traditional training
- Accountability: You work during the session and commit to deployment.
- Collaboration: Guided mastermind compresses learning curves.
- Focused execution: Two distraction-free sprints force completion.
- Iteration loop: Build → test → refine → showcase in one sitting.
- Connection: In a tech-isolated world, this format rebuilds community—and the lost skill of deep thinking.
What people actually build in 90 minutes
- A tight elevator pitch that lands meetings
- A sharpened listing presentation + objection responses
- A follow-up system (templates, cadences, CRM steps)
- A one-page lead-gen plan with weekly activity targets.
“Taco Tuesday” in action
I participate in Laura Lake’s “Taco Tuesday,” a group of coaches, speakers, authors, and trainers. It follows a similar rhythm: focused teaching, guided mastermind, deep work, refine, showcase, commit. Every session produces something shippable.
